A dare. A whole month of words… many words (you are going to have to abduct some, keep them locked in your white pages *evil grin*).
Day after day, week after week, for a whole month, you will create a convincing plot where, at the end, a secret will be exposed and the name of a dead person will be tarnished. Wait… What?
OK, here’s the run-down.
Week one. You’re full of energy. Write like crazy!
Week two. You’re still running on your enthusiasm. Keep writing!
Week three. You slow down and you spot a few holes in your plot. Plus, you need an extra character. Start using prompts. A poisoner and a con artist (distantly related) find a noose in a conservatory. Does it make any sense? No? Well, that’s the point. Crazy ideas can generate useful ideas in the most unexpected ways.
Week four. You’re almost there. You’re exhausted, but you can see the finish line. A promise turns into a clue. What? Someone has to clean up and make the evidence disappear. Who?! You! Oh, and by the way, there’s also a photograph and a weird pipe in that conservatory. Not yours? Well, I’d urge you to go and check the security system then.
Tap tap tap. Words, words, words. White pages no more!
Author’s Note: This pep-talk is intentionally wacky. It’s packed with a bunch of prompts. Have fun and always think outside the box. You can do this!
